I m horrible at posting blogs, I think about getting on the computer all the time, then either something else distracts me, or I just can't be bothered and prefer to sit down with a coffee during those moments when Laila is asleep. It's still no excuse for my bad communication, no blogs, no e-mails, and no calls home, which is cheaper than making phone calls here in NZ! Sorry guys, I'll try to be better about it.
Here are some recent photos of Laila taken over the past month. Mark and I of course have no photos of ourselves, but then again, we're just the same as always and not nearly as cute.
The days are getting both warmer and longer down under. We are enjoying good walks, time out in the garden, and of course the park! Laila has discovered and fallen in love with the swings. often in the evening we pack up dinner and head to the park down the road to eat, here is Laila just finished with her meal and ready to play.
My poor little girl has been so sick this week. She has had a really bad cold virus, high temp and sore throat. She was refusing to eat, for three days in a row she fed in the morning and wouldn't even drink water after that, I was having to get water down her throat with a syringe, not fun at all. She is such a social kid, even when she is sick and crying from being miserable she loves to have people around her. I needed to take a shower and Laila wasn't too happy about it. I took the mirror from our bedroom and put it in front of her so she would have someone to talk to while I was busy. You wouldn't even think there was anything wrong with her, she was talking and laughing and sharing her toys with her new little 'friend'. I not only got my shower, I got my hair done and the laundry started before she remembered she was sick and was no longer happy with the mirror. Funny kid!

Marnie, she is just too cute. :) I always find joy in watching my babies play with their mirror reflection also. And seriously, shower, hair, AND laundry?!?! That's impressive!
You know I love you, even if you're flaky about blogging. :)
That's smart. I'll have to remember that for my next kid: mirror=shower.
What a great idea, providing a mirror so you can get a shower. Brilliant!
Love you,
Bonnie
You're so smart! I love that she shared her toys with her little friend. What a good girl! Cute picture.
