So, this is what grown ups do!

Yes, those are rubber boots my husband is wearing!

It's Spring time in New Zealand! I have to say that being cold is one of my least favorite things in the world. Since New Zealand homes don't have central heating, well, I've been missing the warmth of American summer. I have gotten a lot of complaints that we haven't updated our blog very often. Sorry, our lives have become....well, very ordinary and we just aren't quite used to that. We feel as if we've gotten a bit boring as we've settled down, and to be honest are pretty OK with that. Since jaunting off into the mountains of Pakistan, or exploring the markets of Kabul aren't an option anymore, we've found a new hobby. Well, one we don't know much about but are trying to experiment in, we've started gardening.

Mark is busy making a new lawn and garden bed and I spend my time planting flowers and picking weeds. For fun on the weekends we head to Mitre 10 mega, the NZ version of Home Depot. We have enjoyed cooking dinner together when Mark isn't working the night shift, and going to bed early (mostly because I am still so tired from the pregnancy). We really want to take advantage of this time before the baby comes and it all changes again. For now we are more than content to sit back and watch things grow, both in the garden and in my belly, it's a slow but exciting time, and we know we probably won't have it again....until we're 60 and start gardening again that is.

Sounds dreamy. I can't wait till Scott is done with school and we can feel like a normal boring couple. School isn't as exciting as trekking across a foreign country, but it keeps us from enjoying lazy nights and weekends.
