little helper

Laila likes to be involved in what I'm doing around the house. She likes to watch me fold laundry, sits on the counter while I do the dishes, and is fascinated by watching water boil on the stove. I love telling her what I'm doing and explaining how I do it. I know she doesn't totally understand what I'm saying but sometimes she sits there and listens like she does and I find those times very sweet, especially when I'm done talking and she responds with a very sweet, "Ba". Who knows, maybe if she watches enough I can get her cleaning toilets and washing dishes by time she's walking and I can sit down for a cup of coffee. I'm sure the time will come when hanging out with me is the uncoolest thing in the world, but for now, I want to take advantage of every minute I can just being with my daughter....for me it's cooler than anything I've ever done before.
